Christmas 2008

It was our first Christmas as a complete family.  The best Christmas in my life.  We were blessed to spend time with all of our family with both of our sons.  The best Christmas gift was having Cannon joining our family.   Easton loved Christmas this year.  He was able to open up all of his gifts and understood that Santa was coming to bring him gifts.  Easton helped me bake cookies for Santa.  He was so excited to see what he got that he woke us up at 4:30am.  He loved his scooter, but his favorite was the football uniform that his Bibi and Pappi got for him.  We have to make him take it off to go to sleep at night.   He also loves the Sooners rocking chair that his Gigi and Grandpa got him.  We also thank his Uncle Red everyday for the wonderful guns that shoot darts out!!

Cannon Parker

Cannon joined our family December 12, 2008 at 7:23 am.  He is such a wonderful blessing to our family.  Easton loves his baby brother.  The first time he saw Cannon in the hospital he already wanted to share his money with him.  I am sure that won't last long.  Cannon loves to cuddle and has no problem finding someone to do this with him.  Brian and I have to fight Easton off to be able to hold him. Easton can't get enough hugs and kisses from his little brother and I think Cannon enjoys it too.  The first smile we saw Cannon do was to his big brother after he gave him a kiss.

Pumpkin Patch

We took our first trip to the pumpkin patch in October.  Easton loved climbing on the pumpkins and looking at all of the animals.  He thought the goats were very funny and enjoyed chasing the poor little chickens around saying "pow pow"!  Brian took Easton into his first haunted house, he made it about 5 feet into it and wanted to come out!  We are still proud of him for going that far!!!

Easton Turns 2

Easton turned 2 November 11th.  He had a wonderful time at his party.  He loved opening up all of his gifts and still plays with everything!  He loved everyone coming to celebrate with him. However his favorite part of the entire day was blowing out the candles and hearing everyone sing happy birthday to him.  Still today he sings happy birthday to himself.

New York City

Brian and I took a wonderful vacation to NEW YORK CITY!!  It was so much fun and an experience we will never forget!!  It started off by us having to run thru the Chicago airport to barely make our connecting flight to NYC.  When we finally made it we found out our luggage didn't.  This turned out to be a blessing.  Not because I got to buy new clothes, but because our cab driver thought it would be fun to drop us off in Times Square at 12:30am saying your hotel is just down this road and drove off.  We had no clue where to go.  We had a great time seeing all the wonderful sites and shops, however my favorite part of the entire trip was going to Yankee Stadium.  It was an amazing game and the Yankees won!!  I am so thankful Brian surprised me with this trip and took me to NYC even though he had no desire to go!!  It was a trip I will never forget!!
